An Insight on Indeed from the Employer POV

- I’m not applying to wild jobs or anything.
- I’ve applied to over 200 jobs the last few months.
- Applying to these cloned jobs does absolutely nothing.
- Old and filled postings are nearly impossible to take down, so most are just left to time out through the site.
- An overwhelming majority of jobs posted here are clones.
- There’s one job I’m looking at with about 4 listing on Indeed.

Applying to these cloned jobs does absolutely nothing. I’m not applying to wild jobs or anything. I hear about certain convenient features about Indeed, like being able to essentially “mass apply” to a number among roles at a time. Use indeed as a resource to find job postings, but then go directly to a company’s website to search for the job and apply directly with them.

I was originally going to apply on Indeed then noticed one of the other listings had an option to directly apply on the company’s website. I’ve applied to over 200 jobs the last few months. Indeed is just a glorified parasite of a website and most of the jobs you find on there are false doors. Indeed works by scraping hundreds or thousands of other websites for real job postings, and recreates the information as a new job in its own format. An overwhelming majority of jobs posted here are clones.
